Deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on that beauty or lifestyle subscription box? Wondering if it will be worth it? I've been there! I love the surprise of getting a perfectly curated box in the mail, but I never want to feel like I've wasted my money. So let's start up a new series here on the blog. I'll dig through the goodies, and you can decide if it's worth going after...
First up is the October POPSUGAR Must Have Box. The Must Have Box is $39.95 per month and includes full-sized products valued at over $100. They also have a smaller version called the Must Have Mini for $15.95 per month. You can check them both out here, and use the code SHOP5 for $5 off your first box! Full disclosure, POPSUGAR sent me this October box to try. So let's get started!
The first thing I gravitated towards when I opened the box was the Rise & Shine mug by Morning Culture ($16 value). Not sure what it is about cute mugs, but no matter how many I have, I can always use one more. The box also came with a canister of dark drinking chocolate by My Cup of Cocoa ($5.99 value). As soon as the temps drop outside, I see a big cup of hot chocolate in my future. Yum!
The next thing that caught my eye was the Makeup Eraser Mini ($12 value). I've been wanting to try this for a while now but haven't gotten around to actually buying one. Apparently you just wet it (no soap required), and it removes super stubborn makeup. Pop it in the washing machine, and it's good to go again. We'll see how it fares after some testing. Have you ever used one before? If so, let me know what you think in the comments below!
The Lalicious Brown Sugar Vanilla Shower Oil and Bubble Bath ($28 value) smells delicious. Very sweet, so probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm willing to give it a go.
I was super excited when I unpacked the Henri Bendel striped mini umbrella ($58 value). I can never seem to have enough umbrellas in Chicago! This one is the perfect size to throw in my work tote.
The Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen ($8.99 value) is always a welcome extra. I'm really pretty awful with eyeliner, but it doesn't stop me from trying.
And lastly, this month they threw in the book Power Your Happy by POPSUGAR founder, Lisa Sugar ($25 value). Maybe something to read while sipping on that hot cocoa?
So there you have it. Interested in getting next month's Must Have Box? The November box contents are still a secret, but you can Google your way into a spoiler if you really want. Check out more info on ordering here, and remember to use code SHOP5 for $5 off your first box!
