Skincare Loves: Favorite Masks

Let's talk about masks. Everyone needs some pamper time, and so does your skin. Try taking 30 minutes once a week to sit back, relax, and bring a little glow to your face. And when it comes to masks, I'm all about instant gratification. I want to see a difference, and I want to see it now. Here are three masks I've been reaching for lately when I feel my skin starting to act up or if I just need a few minutes of spa time.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

Best for: combination to oily, acne prone skin
Price: $$

This mask is my go-to when I feel a breakout about to rear its ugly head. Slather this stuff on, and somehow it just sucks everything up out of your pores. No surprise, charcoal works wonders for acne. I also love that this mask is packaged in a tube. I'm really not a fan of sticking my fingers in jars...hello, bacteria. That said, there are some really good masks in jars. So go find a few q-tips or a spoon to dish things out, and keep reading.

Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque

Best for: any skin feeling a bit dull
Price: $$

This mask is my go-to when my face needs a little life brought back to it. The cranberry seeds create a natural exfoliant, so don't immediately wash it off when it dries. Instead, wet your face (or better yet jump in the shower), and massage the mask around a bit. When you finally wipe it off, your skin will look brighter. It's magic.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

Best for: any skin! (except super sensitive)
Price: $$$

This mask is my go-to for everything! It's good for keeping breakouts away. It's good for bringing on radiance. It's good for smoothing things out. This mask is a beta-hydroxy do-it-all fixer. And it's 100% natural. The jar is small, and it's not cheap, but it's worth it. It also lasts longer than you'd expect. Tata Harper has created one of my favorite green beauty brands, and this mask is the gateway drug to the rest of her collection. You've been warned.
